Qassim Sulphate Resistant Cement

Sulphate Resistant Cement (SRC) is a specialized cement used in building structures which is immersed and exposed to soil or water for prolonged periods where the sulphate content is high. 

Sulphate Resistant Cement is distinguished from the other types of cement for its lower Tri-calcium Aluminates content. Tri-calcium Aluminates content in cement is responsible for the interaction with the sulfate ions in soil or water that causes the expansion of concrete and the occurrence of cracks

Applications

• Sulphate Resistant Cement is recommended to be used in the areas where soil contains high proportions of Sulphate.
