These Terms and Conditions (Terms) govern your access to and use of the websites operated by Khamato — including khamato.com, bulk.khamato.com, and the Khamato mobile applications (collectively, the Platform) — together with all services, content, and features offered through them.
By accessing the Platform, creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using any of the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by the Khamato Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:
- "Khamato", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Khamato, its employees, authorized agents, and affiliated entities operating the Platform.
- "User", "Customer", "you" refers to any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the Platform, including registered B2C customers and B2B account holders.
- "Platform" means the Khamato websites, mobile applications, and any other digital interface through which our Services are made available.
- "Services" means the marketplace services Khamato makes available, including product listings, ordering, payment processing, logistics coordination, and customer support.
- "Supplier" means any independent merchant, manufacturer, distributor, or authorized dealer that offers products for sale through the Platform.
- "Supplier Products" means the products listed for sale on the Platform by Suppliers.
- "Supplier Offers" means promotions, discounts, or bundled offers provided by Suppliers.
- "Third-Party Service Providers" means independent contractors and entities engaged to perform a specific service in connection with the Services, including delivery, installation, and payment processing.
- "Applicable Law" means the laws and regulations in force in the Arab Republic of Egypt, including the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its amendments.
- "Force Majeure" has the meaning given in Section 28.
- Use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of these Terms, which apply each time you access the Platform or any Service.
- Khamato may amend, supplement, or modify these Terms at any time.
- Material changes will be posted on the Platform with a revised "Last updated" date.
- Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
To ensure that Users have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements:
- You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
- If you register on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms, and that the business and you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- You may not use the Platform if you are barred from doing so under Applicable Law.
Registering an account
To access certain Services, you must register an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information, including your full name, address, email, phone number, and — for business accounts — a valid commercial registration or equivalent documentation.
Account security
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify Khamato immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected compromise of your account.
Verification
Khamato may, at its discretion, request additional information or documentation at any time — including identity verification, proof of address, payment-method ownership, and (for business accounts) commercial licenses, tax cards, and proof of signing authority. Failure to provide requested information may result in limitation, suspension, or termination of your account.
Non-transferable
Accounts are personal to the registered User and may not be transferred, sold, or assigned. You agree to reimburse Khamato for any unauthorized, fraudulent, or unlawful activity carried out through your account, regardless of whether you authorized that activity.
Khamato operates as a technology platform that connects Customers with independent Suppliers of construction materials, finishings, sanitaryware, kitchen and home appliances, electrical supplies, lighting, air conditioners, smart devices, and related products and services.
- Suppliers list their products on the Platform and contract independently with Khamato to make those products available for sale.
- Suppliers are responsible for the quality, authenticity, legality, fitness for purpose, and availability of the products they list.
- Khamato is not the manufacturer or seller of the Supplier Products and does not provide warranties beyond those expressly stated in these Terms.
- Suppliers and Third-Party Service Providers are independent contractors. They are not employees, partners, representatives, or agents of Khamato.
Khamato acts as an intermediary facilitating the connection between Customers and Suppliers and the coordination of payment, delivery, and after-sales support.
Accuracy of listings
Khamato and its Suppliers make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications, and prices displayed on the Platform are accurate and up-to-date. However, Khamato does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any information on the Platform.
Images and colors
Product images are for illustration purposes and may vary slightly from the actual product due to display calibration, manufacturer batch differences, or product updates by the manufacturer.
Availability
Although Khamato strives to keep the Platform accurately reflecting Supplier stock, availability may change without notice. If you place an order for an item that is subsequently unavailable, Khamato will inform you as soon as possible and offer:
- An equivalent alternative product (subject to your acceptance),
- To hold the order pending re-stock, or
- A full refund of the amount paid for the unavailable item.
Pricing
All prices on the Platform are displayed in Egyptian Pound (EGP) and are inclusive of applicable value-added tax (VAT) unless otherwise stated. Delivery fees, installation charges, and any other applicable fees are shown separately at checkout.
Price errors
If the actual price of a Supplier Product, as it appears on the final invoice, differs from the price displayed on the Platform due to a pricing error, supplier update, or system fault, Khamato will notify you. You will have the right to either (a) pay the corrected price, or (b) cancel the order for a full refund. Khamato shall not be liable for any indirect loss resulting from such pricing errors.
Placing an order
By placing an order, you make a binding offer to purchase the relevant products at the prices and on the terms set out at checkout. An order is only accepted once Khamato issues an order confirmation by email, SMS, or in-app notification, and — for orders requiring it — once telephone confirmation has been completed.
Right to refuse an order
Khamato reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its sole discretion, including (without limitation) where:
- The product is out of stock or has been discontinued;
- There is a pricing or description error;
- The payment cannot be verified or is suspected to be fraudulent;
- The order violates these Terms or Applicable Law;
- Delivery to the requested address is not feasible.
In any such case, any amounts already charged will be refunded to the original payment method.
Special orders
Items marked as "Special Order", custom-cut, custom-configured, made-to-order, or bulk-cement orders dispatched directly from the plant are subject to specific timelines and conditions. These items are generally non-returnable and non-refundable once confirmed, except in the case of a manufacturing defect, damage in transit, or non-conformity with the agreed specifications.
Payment methods
Khamato offers a range of payment methods at checkout, including:
- Cash on Delivery (subject to an order-value cap and destination eligibility)
- Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards
- InstaPay
- Fawry
- Aman
- Valu (installments)
- Forsa (installments)
- Souhoola (installments)
- Bank transfer (for B2B and bulk orders)
Available payment methods may change without notice. Some methods are not available for all order types or values.
Cash on Delivery
Where Cash on Delivery is selected, the full order amount must be paid in cash to the delivery representative before unloading begins. Khamato may impose order-value caps on Cash on Delivery, and orders above the cap must be paid using an alternative method.
Electronic payments
Electronic payments are processed by independent Third-Party Service Providers. Khamato does not store full card details. You agree that the relevant Third-Party Service Provider, not Khamato, is responsible for the processing of electronic payments, and that Khamato is not liable for any error, delay, or damage arising from electronic-payment processing.
Payment authorization
By providing payment information, you authorize Khamato (or its payment processor) to charge the relevant amount to the selected payment instrument. You confirm that you are the lawful holder of the payment instrument and that sufficient funds are available.
Currency and additional charges
Khamato does not impose additional surcharges on electronic payments. International transactions may be subject to currency-conversion charges by the issuing bank, which are the responsibility of the Customer.
Shipping and delivery are governed in detail by the Khamato Shipping Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. In summary:
• Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on destination, product type, and stock availability.
• Khamato or its appointed Third-Party Service Provider will contact you to confirm delivery date and address.
• The Customer must inspect the shipment at the point of delivery, in the presence of the delivery team, and record any visible damage, shortage, or wrong item on the delivery note before the delivery team leaves.
• Standard delivery is to the ground floor or main building entrance. Above-ground-floor delivery, positioning, unpacking, and installation are not included unless expressly agreed and may incur additional charges.
• Risk in the goods passes to the Customer upon delivery and acceptance.
Installation of air conditioners, large appliances, sanitaryware, and electrical fittings is not included in the product price unless expressly stated. Installation, where offered, is provided by the manufacturer's authorized service center or a Third-Party Service Provider, and the related warranty is governed by the installer's terms.
Returns, exchanges, and refunds are governed by the Khamato Return & Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. In summary:
• General returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the product is unopened, unused, and in its original packaging with all accessories.
• Damaged, defective, or wrong items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
• Special orders, custom-made items, and bulk-cement orders are non-returnable except in the case of manufacturing defect or damage in transit.
• Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–7 business days after the return is processed.
• The Consumer Protection Law of the Arab Republic of Egypt applies to all consumer returns and exchanges. Where Supplier-specific return terms apply (for example, manufacturer warranty terms for appliances and air conditioners), those terms prevail to the extent permitted by Applicable Law.
Cancellation by the Customer
You may cancel an order at no charge before it is dispatched. After dispatch, cancellation is treated as a return and is subject to the Return & Refund Policy. Special orders and bulk-cement orders may not be cancelled once production or dispatch has commenced.
Cancellation by Khamato
Khamato may cancel an order, in whole or in part, if:
- The product becomes unavailable;
- A pricing or description error is identified;
- Fraud or unauthorized payment activity is suspected;
- The Customer fails to respond to delivery-scheduling attempts within a reasonable time;
- Delivery to the requested address is impossible.
Any amounts charged for the cancelled portion will be refunded.
- Khamato does not itself manufacture the Supplier Products. Manufacturer warranties — where applicable — are provided directly by the manufacturer or its authorized service center, on the manufacturer's own terms.
- Khamato makes no warranty of any kind regarding the Supplier Products beyond what is expressly stated on the Platform or required by Applicable Law.
- For warranty service or technical support, please contact the relevant manufacturer or its authorized service center. Khamato's customer-service team will assist in connecting you with the correct service channel where possible.
- Manufacturer warranties may be conditional on installation by an authorized technician (in particular for air conditioners and major appliances). Unauthorized installation may void the warranty.
B2B-registered customers (contractors, traders, project owners, real-estate developers) may access dedicated pricing, payment terms, and bulk-order workflows on the Platform and at bulk.khamato.com.
- B2B accounts require verification of commercial registration, tax card, and signing authority.
- B2B pricing is confidential and is provided for the registered account's internal use only.
- B2B accounts may be subject to credit terms, security deposits, or letters of guarantee at Khamato's discretion.
- B2B orders may be subject to specific dispatch, delivery, and consolidation arrangements agreed in writing with the Khamato sales team.
Sales of bulk cement (سايب), bagged cement (معبأ), retail cement (قطاعي), bricks, blocks, and similar bulk construction materials are subject to the following additional terms:
- Region-specific pricing: Prices vary by destination governorate. Pricing displayed for one region does not apply to another.
- Plant dispatch: Orders may be dispatched directly from the production plant. Lead times depend on plant capacity, transport availability, and routing.
- Vehicle and access: The unloading site must be accessible to the appropriate heavy goods vehicle, and the Customer must ensure suitable on-site receiving infrastructure and supervision.
- Demurrage: Waiting charges may apply where delivery vehicles are held beyond a reasonable unloading time due to Customer-side delays.
- Weight tolerances: Quantities are weighed at dispatch and may vary within industry-standard tolerances. Minor variances within tolerance are not treated as shortages.
- No returns: Bulk and bagged cement are generally non-returnable once unloaded, except in the case of confirmed quality defect verified by the manufacturer or a recognized testing laboratory.
Khamato may, at its discretion, accept orders for export outside the Arab Republic of Egypt, subject to:
- A separate written agreement specifying Incoterms, payment, documentation, and delivery responsibilities;
- Compliance with Egyptian export-control laws and the import regulations of the destination country;
- Provision by the Customer of any licenses, permits, or other documentation required;
- Payment in a method and currency approved by Khamato.
Export inquiries should be directed to +20 1203100919 or via WhatsApp.

- However, you cannot unsubscribe from operational and transactional communications relating to your account and orders for as long as you remain a registered User.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Khamato, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and Suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

- Your violation of any Applicable Law or third-party right.
- Any content you submit to the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law:
- Khamato shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or the Services, even if Khamato has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Khamato's total aggregate liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Khamato for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Khamato's liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Applicable Law.
The Platform and the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, Khamato disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement;

- Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components;
- Warranties as to the quality, capability, or suitability of any Supplier or Third-Party Service Provider.
Khamato may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform — in whole or in part, with or without notice — for any reason, including (without limitation):
- A breach of these Terms by you;
- Suspected fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity;
- Failure to provide requested verification or documentation;
- Prolonged inactivity;
- Closure of the Platform, in whole or in part.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting Khamato customer service. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination.
Khamato reserves the right to amend, supplement, or modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by:
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms;
- Posting a notice on the Platform; and/or
- Sending you a notification by email or in-app message.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You agree to treat as confidential any non-public information you may receive in the course of your dealings with Khamato — including pricing, B2B terms, business strategies, and technical information. You shall not disclose such information to any third party and shall use it solely for the purpose for which it was provided. This obligation survives termination of your account.
Khamato shall not be liable for any delay, hindrance, or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms if such delay, hindrance, or failure arises from any event beyond its reasonable control, including (without limitation): acts of God; fire, flood, storm, hurricane, tornado, volcanic activity, earthquake; acts, orders, or requests of any governmental or sovereign authority; war (declared or undeclared) and warlike acts; revolution, riot, civil disobedience, civil disturbance; strikes, walk-outs, and labor disputes; pandemic, epidemic, or quarantine; failure of public utilities, telecommunications, or internet services; cyberattack or denial-of-service attack; and any other cause beyond the reasonable control of either party.
- These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the Platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
- You hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, while reserving Khamato's right to bring proceedings in any other jurisdiction where you reside, conduct business, or hold assets.
- In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the Arabic and English versions of these Terms, the Arabic version shall prevail.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
No failure or delay by Khamato in exercising any right under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right, nor shall any single or partial exercise preclude any other or further exercise.

- Khamato may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms at any time, in whole or in part, to any affiliate or successor.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and any other policies or terms expressly referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Khamato in relation to the use of the Platform and supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings.
